Surrounded by nature, Woodhall Spa is a charming former spa town and inland resort, with an abundance of local restaurants, pubs and shops to visit during your stay, as well as the historic Kinema In The Woods cinea, set in a beautiful woodland setting. Avid walkers will be pleased with the many different walks in the area, including the Spa Trail and the three miles of flat, surfaced path/bridleway along the mid-section of the old Horncastle to Woodhall Junction railway line and part of the Horncastle Canal.

Sculptures made from wood, stone and metal are scattered along the way, reflecting local wildlife and links with the past. It is part of the 147 miles of Viking Way, a long distance footpath, passing through woods and rolling countryside.

- Woodhall Spa Heritage Trail, which includes Kirkstead Abbey, the Cottage Museum and the Petwood Hotel, which was commandeered for the Dambusters officers mess

Nearby Jubilee Park has tennis courts, a bowling green, an outdoor heated swimming pool, cricket pitch, rose garden, band stand and children's play area

- Enjoy a visit to the nearby town of Horncastle, with its many antique shops and the popular Wolds Wildlife Park

- the birth place of King Henry IV lies close by at Bolingbrook Castle

- the market towns of Louth, Alford, Boston, Sleaford and Caistor

- the picturesque Wolds (and Market Rasen with its horse racing) are a short drive away

- there are plenty of geocache trails in the area

- the National Golf Centre is less than a mile away and has the Hotchkin course, currently ranked 54th in the world, as well as the Bracken course

- aviation enthusiasts will enjoy visits to the visitor centre of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Thorpe Camp, Metheringham airfield and Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby (with Just Jane, the World War Two Lancaster)

- the International Bomber Command is at Canwick, Lincoln
