Apple Blossom Pitch

We’re just about to end our 4 night stay camping and we’ve had a fantastic stay. We came over for the British Superbikes event at Cadwell Park and this is a perfect spot if you’re looking to do the same, only 20 mins away. The site itself is small, but just how you’d want it, peaceful and quiet. The owners have been great , very welcoming and friendly and also have interest in the bikes so was nice to have a chat with them. The facilities are really really clean and tidy, I can be a bit funny sometimes when sharing communal areas like shower and toilet, but was very comfortable as it was very clean throughout at all times. Overall had a fantastic stay and would love to visit again! Thank you for having us! Karl & Rebecca

Fantastic campsite with great facilities. If you're looking for a quiet campsite just a short walk away from Woodhall Spa then I highly recommend this site. Hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Loved our stay
Will be back someday.

We stayed here for two nights in our motorhome.
We had a wonderful stay. The site is just outside Woodhall Spa so nice and quiet, the facilities are excellent - clean and well thought out.
The owners are so friendly and helpful. Giving us lots of tips on where to eat.
We loved it here and will return as it was one of the nicest sites we have stayed at. By far the friendliest.
Thank you x

Karen and Tony were wonderful hosts and Amelia Vera was a beautiful home for two nights for our group of four ladies. After accommodating us at very short notice (after another provider cancelled on us at the last minute), nothing was too much trouble. We arrived early, had far too many cars, had no idea whether our electric bbq would trip the supply, wanted to be nosy with all the other accommodation, needed taxi info and extra logs ... honestly, they couldn't have been kinder.

The accommodation itself is wonderfully dressed in vintage style and the beds are super comfy. One of us had a camp bed on the first night which was a little less comfy, but Karen and Tony were able to swap this out for proper bed for our second night. We only got cold when it was very windy outside, but the fire pit helped and we had lots of duvets and comforters at bedtime.

The little kitchen is very well kitted out - we took advantage of the toaster and the microwave, and were able to wash up properly after every meal. The two bathrooms had proper toilets and showers with endless hot water and good water pressure, and never ran out of loo roll!

Would recommend unreseredly for couples and groups of a certain age - it's important to be respectful of your fellow guests and not impact their break with your own fun, but we even enjoyed making friends with our neighbours in the shepherds hut.

I was looking for a small, private campsite and this did not disappoint. A fabulous family run site, with the most amazing shower/toilet facilities (I’ve stayed in hotels that couldn’t compete with these!)
The kitchenette was great and spotlessly clean (as was the whole site)
We had a great sized pitch, with plenty of room to sit and cook outside.
The hosts were wonderful, they made you feel so welcome and were always ready to help with any queries.
Thanks for a fantastic stay! We will most definitely be back

Had a lovely week camping here.
Plenty to do in & around woodhall spa. Which is 35 mins walk from campsite.
Wildlife park...horncastle
Battle of britain tour ... RAF conningsby
In woodhall spa
Kinema in the woods
Bakeries
Ice cream shops
Lots we didnt get to go to...
Outdoor heated pool, tea in the woods...
All amenities needed local
The campsite excellent with a 5* the shower block though to call it a block is not right " shower suites" are to be seen to be believed.
Which also includes a wonderful kitchenette. No standing in the rain washing dishes...😀
RAF jets flying over campsite is a treat too. Several seaside resorts 35 mins away to drive .
Drove to Metheringham 15 mins to catch train 15 mins to Lincoln

Friendly owners Karen & Tony always available & helpful.
We look forward to seeing you again with our upgrade to a caravan.

Wow, what an amazing tent and an amazing site. The beds were so comfortable. Everything you need for camping was provided, even a small fridge for milk etc. All though we only stayed for 2 nights we will definitely return with family and friends. Our hosts were a lovely couple and nothing was to much. The shower room was spotless clean with running hot water.

We stayed in the beautiful Amelia Vera glamping tent over the spring bank holiday, and it was perfect! An absolute gem in the gorgeous Lincolnshire countryside, but near enough to woodhall spa village and conningsby for amenities. Nothing was too much trouble and the lovely family who run it had thought of everything(even your own private loo in a little tent behind ours!) We will definitely be returning to this spotlessly clean very generous tent, with the really comfortable beds, and even its own cool box for your milk etc. Great for 4 people and a really quiet site with fantastic facilities .

This was our second time staying with Karen and Tony, we had a brilliant break, so peaceful our kids and dog had a fabulous time. Karen and Tony are fantastic hosts. Highly recommend this site, in fact I did recommend it on my family camping site on Facebook. We will definitely be returning for another visit.

Another amazing stay at Happy Days Holiday Retreat, this time in the shepherd's hut! As usual it did not disappoint, it was a fantastic use of space with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable weekend. As always Karen and Tony were the perfect hosts! This weekend we enjoyed a lovely walk round Woodhall Spa, a gorgeous meal in one of the local restaurants and a trip into Lincoln. We can't wait to come in August for our camping holiday! Thanks again, Karen & Chris xxx

We loved our few days here. Friendly, quiet and low key. Kids enjoyed the wooden games and hammocks to relax in. Round the corner from the viking way/spa trail into woodhall spa one way or Horncastle the other.

We’ve just returned from a weekend break at Hare Lodge-I just wish we’d been there longer. The lodge is absolutely gorgeous, well-furnished with lots of lovely touches. We slept really well and enjoyed it so much we spent our evenings in watching dvds in the comfortable lounge. Parking was a bonus too. The owners gave great instructions and were fantastic at communicating. A good base to explore the area. We hope to return soon. Thanks again

Stayed here for 6 night ( originally booked 5 but added extra) could not ask for more lovely couple Karen and Tony nothing was too much hassle for them. Lovely clean surroundings and facilities. Plenty to explore locally and bit further afield. Booking for next year already.

Lovely little family-run site. We had two large pitches, plenty of space for tents, cars and still loads of room to sit and relax with a fire pit and marshmallows (provided on-site) and for the kids to play. Very friendly and helpful hosts, nothing too much trouble. Clean facilities, portaloos for convenience, but also luxury indoor toilet and shower/bathroom. Wooden outdoor toys freely available for the kids (and adults!) to use. Situated just outside the lovely village of Woodhall Spa, which has two nice pubs serving delicious meals, and a few minutes' drive from Kinema in the Woods - a delightful vintage-style cinema. We had great weather too - all round a fabulous camping break - we will definitely be back, and bring our family and friends too.

Two nights over a sunny bank holiday weekend - what a treat. The site was full but as it is such a small site this remained a quiet retreat. The owners worked hard to engage all guests and to make sure that we all had a pleasant stay. Small touches such as garden games, local advice on places to visit all helped to make this a very pleasant stay. Pitches are a good size with room for car and tent and space to sit out. If you are looking for a quiet, homely feel in a tent within walking distance of Woodhall Spa with plenty to see and do we highly recommend this site.

Nice cottage, lovely location, very comfortable.

Karen,
Hare Lodge

We had the most lovely holiday in Hare Lodge, Lincolnshire. It truly was a home away from home with all amenities thought of. The lounge area was very spacious and the kitchen diner was a great space for family meals and evening games. The grounds are beautiful and the bedrooms very comfortable, we were lucky to have the added bonus of a newly refurbished bathroom. The owners were lovely with no question or contact too big or small.

Excellent cottage. Spacious, comfortable, warm and cosy whilst freezing and storms outside (in February). Lovely and well proportioned and well equipped lounge and kitchen. Quiet and restful location whilst still being near to local amenities. Undisturbed and tranquil environment with paddock behind and plenty of parking.

Alan,
Hare Lodge

We stayed at Hare Lodge for a family get together the week before Christmas and it was lovely that it had been decorated with a large tree and many Christmas themed decorations for our break. The property was ideally situated for visiting family in Woodhall Spa. Hare Lodge was warm, comfortable and very clean and has been recently tastefully decorated. The lounge is very spacious with two sofas and a two seater chair. The kitchen is well equipped with good quality appliances with large oven/cooker and fridge freezer. The owners have thought of everything you would need and it was a real home from home property that we hope to return to soon.
